Refashion Victim

I’ve recovered.  Great discussion last night with the heretics about acedia.

And now, without further ado (thanks Sir Gamesalot for correcting me): Maxine in her newly refashioned dress. It used to be my shirt. It never fit me quite right, but I loved the fabric. We took it in here and there, shortened the straps, repositioned buttons, and added some pockets and wa- la!

Cute dress, but isn’t it just “ado” (Much Ado About Nothing)? Adieu is Bye in French.

Wow, I’m truly impressed. It’s adorable, you’ve got skills!

It looks great! I love that print.

Love it Men! I love the refashioning idea! Did it take very long? I don’t think I can sew button holes to save my life… :)

It was really easy. Seriously, it was about an hour and I didn’t do the buttonholes, they were already there. I am terrible as well with buttonholes. I have a basic machine that doesn’t even have the handy buttonhole feature. The times I’ve made them I was grateful for large buttons to hide the mess. I’ve been trying not to buy too much fabric and just use our old or too small clothes. Fabric is so expensive! And I’ve found that the old khaki school pants with holes in the knees make great interfacing.

Angry Baker, this is incredible! I love a good ole’ refashioning of clothes. Love the fabric! The only thing I am wishing is that I could have seen a before picture of the shirt. I like to see the transition visually. This post is perfect because a bunch of my girlfriends are about to get together to watch Project Runway. I LOVE Project Runway. We watch it every Thursday night together. I don’t know if that’s dedication or stupidity or what, but we do. Do you watch that show? Seems like you would like it, but I could be wrong.

No, I don’t watch it, but I do like it. I’ve seen a few episodes before but I’ve never watched an entire season. I should, but I try to keep my viewing to a minimum. Maybe after I finish Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. I can’t find a “before” picture. I didn’t even think of that.

I haven’t seen Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, but I’ve heard good things about it from friends. I just added it to my queue on hulu.
